Tour of Utah National Anthem - August 8, 2014

The Evanston Civic Chorus was honored this summer with an invitation to sing the National Anthem for the opening ceremony of the Tour of Utah bike race on August 8th.   We didn't have many males available to sing with us, so we went with this women's group.

The ceremony was held in the plaza between the Machine Shop and the Roundhouse. Thanks to Drew for taking the video and Jessica for sharing it with us!

Spring 2014 Concert Dates Set

The Evanston Civic Chorus is excited to announce the spring concert dates so you can put them on your calendar.  They'll be performing first on Thursday, May 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Evanston Middle School.  This will be a combined concert with the Evanston Civic Orchestra.  If you can't make that performance, you can see the chorus perform the same program on Sunday, June 1, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  The orchestra will not be there for the Sunday performance, but there will be treats after.

Community Christmas Gala 2013 a Great Success!

"We Need a Little Christmas"
Our recent Christmas Gala was a huge success.  I have only heard great comments about it.  People never felt anxious about the time even though it was close to an hour and a half in length.  We had a great variety of performances from the Evanston Civic Chorus, the Evanston Civic Orchestra, the Evanston Handbell Choir and other small instrumental and vocal ensembles.
