We're starting the Spring Session of the Evanston Civic Chorus next week, March 14th. Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Davis Middle School choir room. Everyone 14 years of age and older is welcome, regardless of vocal background.
Ryan North, who recently directed the chorus in the production of Handel's Messiah, will continue on as director this spring. Our shared Messiah concert with the orchestra was a great success last December. The spring concert, scheduled for May 11th, joins us with the orchestra again. We'll be doing three Mozart pieces with them,
including 2 movements from Requiem. The chorus will also perform
several of Aaron Copland's Old American Songs as well as some
contemporary music.
