A New Season!

Hello Singers and ECC Followers!
I am very excited about the upcoming season of the Evanston Civic Chorus. Like Sara mentioned in the previous post, our theme this Spring will be "On Broadway," and we'll be learning and performing music from a variety of Broadway shows.
I love musical theater! I've been involved in several shows as either actor or director. (The picture above is of me as Seymoure in Little Shop of Horrors) There are few things in life that can compare to singing a heart-felt full chorus number as the curtain falls.
It is going to be so much fun singing these songs in rehearsal and for our friends and family at our concert in April. I'd like to extend an invitation to those interested to work up solos or small ensemble songs that fit into our theme. Our first rehearsal is Wednesday, January 26. We'll need to re-register everyone at that time, and then we'll jump right into our music!
See you soon!

  1. There's music in the sighing of a reed;
    There's music in the gushing of a rill;
    There's music in all things, if men had ears:
    Their earth is but an echo of the spheres.
    ~Lord Byron
