Join the choir this fall - Rehearsals start soon!
The Evanston Civic Chorus welcomes new singers this fall. Rehearsals will mostly focus on preparations for the performances of Handel's Messiah on December 1st in Kemmerer and December 3rd in Evanston, but some of the time in early September will be devoted to preparing for a community performance. On Saturday, September 22nd, the chorus will sing a couple of songs for the women's conference sponsored by the Calvary Chapel Evanston church.

All high school students and adults are welcome to join the chorus; auditions are not required. Just come to the first rehearsal on September 6th from 6-8 pm at Davis Middle School and sign up.
More information about the Messiah production, the required score, directors, etc. is available on the Evanston Messiah website.

Messiah Performance This Sunday, Dec. 16th
Wow! This fall has gone by so fast. The Chorus has had a great time rehearsing Messiah with Ryan North, and we're looking forward to our performance this Sunday.
The chorus will sing several familiar songs, such as "And the Glory of the Lord" and "Hallelujah." In addition, several soloists are lined up to perform: Eric P., Todd B., April M., Clarissa C., Rebekah M., Bethany L., Jessica S., Crystal R. and Jonathan L. The program will last a little over an hour.
If you aren't performing with us on Sunday, we hope you'll come listen and be inspired by the music and the message.

It's a real treat for a chorus to sing accompanied by an orchestra, and we're excited to be working with the Evanston Civic Orchestra for this program. We had our first combined rehearsal with them last week, and they are sounding great!
